For 85 years the Scottish Conjurers Association has
been at the forefront of a thriving Scottish magic scene. From its beginning in
1924 until today the SCA has strived to encourage and promote magic with high
calibre lecturers, at little or no cost to members, competitions and fun nights
where magic, amusement and amazement are
never far apart. At the SCA we hope to create a scenario in which
those interested, whether expert or novice, can enjoy magic in the
company of like minded and affable companions.

Lecture by Craig Petty

Craig Petty
is one of the most original thinkers in magic today.
His creative mind allows him to take magic props that have
been in existence (and in most of our cupboards) for years and come
up with fresh, innovative presentations that will have all magicians
thinking, “Why didn’t I think of that”
Craig burst onto the magic scene at Blackpool 2
years ago with his attack of the bag DVD.
This was given the award, “Best value for money trick at
Blackpool”
Since then Craig
has produced several other DVDs on cards, coins and other magic
items all receiving great reviews.
Last year (2008) Craig took his products on
tour around some of the magic clubs in the UK and was receiving such
high success that he was booked for The Magic Circle.
His lecture was voted, Lecture of the decade and has
subsequently been booked for lectures in America and throughout
Europe.

pasteboards Gordon is up there among the giants of magic. He
is an avid collector and curator of the Scottish Magic Archive and
has rubbed shoulders with the likes of Dai Vernon, Ed Marlo, Fred
Robinson and Andrew Galloway to name but a few. His lectures include
